Lochsa Lodge --> Lowell (7/17/10)

The usual routine in the morning, get up early, eat pack and hit the road.  We headed up to the cafe to see if any of the other cyclists were going to have breakfast but everyone was either gone or still sleeping.  So we headed out for the 60+ mile day, down hill :-)

It was really a short day, we ran in a paloton (Robin, Zack and I) and kept an 18.5 mph pace.  We stopped at two hot springs, but only walked to one of them.  The other was a long walk and we would've had to leave the bikes on the other side of a river, and none of us felt comfortable doing that.  So we headed to the other hot springs to see if that was any better.  It was, I still didn't want to leave the bikes so I stayed with them and the other guys headed in for a dip.

After their dip we headed on to Lowell, of course keeping out hell bent pace.  We got into Lowell about 12 and got lunch, we were starving.  After cooling down and enjoying some good food and root beer we headed down to the campground to get our stuff set up.  Our site was right on the river and we had great shade and cool temps for the rest of the day.

In the evening Zack and I rode into "town" and got some dessert and wifi to end the evening.
