Lowell --> Grangeville (7/18/10)

We again got an early start, ate a little breakfast and headed off to Kooskia for a real breakfast.  We 20+ miles at a much slower pace than the day before, which was nice for me as I was still a little tired from the previous ride.  Rolling into Kooskia we located a cafe that was actually open and got some food.  After eating we headed to the grocery store to pick up food and supplies, not knowing exactly where we were going to camp tonight.

Getting on the road after all the errands and eating we were hoping to attack the big hill before the heat really kicked in.  This hill was pretty big, and long, and it was hot.  After climbing the hill for several hours I got to Grangeville, it was lunch time and cold drink time!  I met most of the other cyclists at the gas station getting cold drinks, so I grabbed an iced tea and relaxed for a few minutes while we figured out what the plan was.

Everyone was tired, and hot so we decided to use the city park and camp.  We headed to the only open restaurant, Hung Fa Chinese, the food was decent but not great.  After eating we headed to the grocery to buy food dinner food and breakfast so that we could get a good start in the morning and not have to worry about finding a cafe.

Setting up at the park we all cooked and ate as a group, then everyone kind of did there own thing, I read from a book that I just bought at the store and then went to bed.  Everyone else played card games, or attempted to play card games.  Getting to bed kind of early was nice too, since we seem to have a regular wake up time of 0500.
