Twin Bridges --> Dillon (7/11/10)

We headed out sort of late for us, we were going for a short day to watch the World Cup Final in Dillon, which was about a 26 mile ride.  The ride to Dillon was fairly uneventful, there was minimal wind and the traffic was light.  Getting into Dillon we found a bar to watch the soccer game at, and Dennis and I went to the Mexican joint to get food because the bar did not serve food.  We watched the game with the Dutch family that we met up with in Ennis.  They were a little disappointed that the Dutch lost to Spain, which has a little historical significance as well.

After the loss we headed to the city park where we had OK'd camping with the sheriff.  After setting up camp I headed back into town to check the bike shop (Alternative Bike and Board) out and see what his hours were.  He listed an after hours phone number so I called, and he answered.  We chatted for a bit, I explained the issue and asked when he may be able to get me in.  He said "hang on 5 minutes I'll be down there and get you all fixed up."  So I waited and he was there in about 15, with his 4 year old son.  We took the bike in and he spent 2 hours fixing the rear hub/freewheel.  When he was all said and done it required: new bearings, new cups and cones, new free hub, a wheel true and a wheel dish (which I am not exactly sure what it does but it was needed).  His total charge was 40 dollars, which is super cheap!  I actually paid him all the money that I had in my wallet, which was 42.  I plan on sending him a check when I get home because he hooked me up!

After getting all fixed I headed to the grocery and got food for dinner and breakfast, then I headed back to camp and cooked and went to bed.
